Rear fog lamp bulb replacement on face-lift 2007

I won't bore you with the details but removed the rear lamp assembly to change a failed rear fog bulb and after much attacking, followed by a desperate read of the manual I'm left thinking this bulb holder can't be removed to replace a simple bulb and it's a new rear light assembly???
Can't be true...surely.... :thumbsdown: I still have the drivers side working but I just want to get the Coupe in tip top condition...... :cry:
 
I'm also wondering if the face-lift models only have one rear fog lamp that works anyway??? :?
 
I'd be amazed if it 'can't' be replaced and instead is just stuck? Obvious suggestion, but have you tried some WD40?

As for number of fogs, I can only speak to pre face lift, but one side is reversing, the other is fog, and given pre to post facelift lights are interchangeable, I'd suggest it's just one fog.
