Rear Facing Dashcam (Custom Mount?)

Hello Again,

I have been looking to get a dashcam fitted recently and the real problem is that because of the folding roof a rear-facing camera is not ideal. Looking around I have seen that people have been able to make custom mounts that sit between the headrests or, as the companies have suggested, central mounts that to me do not look great between the two seats.

The final option would be to have a front and rear facing cam fitted at the front as this also gets the sides however at the same time is always recording driver and passenger which is I feel is not the best.

Does anyone have any advice or experience with a rear-facing dashcam?
Also, where does the wiring go for the rear camera for those who have it fitted?

This is probably what I am leaning towards unless you fellas have a better suggestion:

The camera looks like a blackvue I had 1 of those had nothing but problems with it , eventually went with a cheaper nextbase but only have 1 front facing

if you are not in a hurry Street Guardian are bringing out a new kit with front and rear camera's that should be ok for parcel shelf mount.

I have been told there have been issues with some of the versions (DAB interference) but unsure about the new 750 model?

I should have updated my location as it is in the UK. I think SG is harder to get here.

DAB interference is caused if you put the camera at the top of the screen. If you place it at the bottom you don’t have that issue. I just wired one in on a 140 that way and followed all the OEM wiring for going into that area.

I have one at the front, but most of the kits say mount on the rear parcel shelf, which is no good for folding roofs or rag tops like mine. I am looking into getting a reversing camera that connects to my Garmin sat nav wirelessly and mounts on the inset above the number plate, I think that can be used as a recording device as well as it has a card input, but I could be wrong!
