Ahem. He's not really generalising. Van drivers more likely to be involved in accidents due to poor observation than other road users. Doesn't have to be white though.

The bit I hate most of all is if you decide to change insurer.

IC - 'Have you had any accidents or claims?'

Me - 'Vehicle was parked, was hit by a bus as it passed by, Bus driver drove off but witness provided details. Fully absolved of any blame & Bus Company paid full costs including my excess'

IC - 'So you had a claim, that will have to be recorded & go against you'

Me - '@~&*%~###!!!!!'
 
My non fault claim (pretty much the above, but was a Clio not a bus) doesn't seem to have affected my policy thankfully.

company car drivers and emergency vehicle drivers are the real killers. pg18 fig6

and yet wvm are pricks according to jonny

I also had a non fault claim a couple of years ago, didn't affect my policy either. I even got a letter from the insurance company at the time which said non fault claim with all costs recovered from other party :)
