Genuine discs ? Do BMW manufacture these or are they bought in because I bought front discs from GSF few years back and they were ATE, exactly the same as the "genuine" factory fitted discs as I was replacing.Fishy Dave said:I bought my rear discs recently from my local BMW dealer (Wellsway BMW), they were happy to reduce the price with BMW club discount which got them within a fiver of anywhere I found online for genuine discs.![]()

Did that price include 30% off?goon said:Was coming home from the post office earlier and came across a euro carparts store I didn't even know was there, ordered discs and pads for £316 which I thought was pretty competitive.
Hmm... £3 cheaper than I got them for, missed that one, you don't expect it to be cheaper at the main dealer either. Lesson learnt here !TomK said:Doesn't seem such great value to me? OE discs from bmw are £268 https://www.amazon.co.uk/BMW-Genuine-Brake-Right-Drilled/dp/B005NFMELK probably less if you asked nicely in your local dealer, and pagid pads from ecp with the 30% discount code are £30.

Yeah no worries, was 316 with the pads pagid I think, was a local shop too, didn't want a mail order delivery as I'm out all day so the car should be back at the mot centre soon.TomK said:goon said:Hmm... £3 cheaper than I got them for, missed that one, you don't expect it to be cheaper at the main dealer either. 270+30 = 300. You paid 316. That's more than £3.
Since you brought up the price in the 1st place I was just saying that I would expect a decent reduction in price over genuine OE parts when buying from ecp. Otherwise what's the point?
Oh and my dealer will always beat the price from BMW direct store.
