rear demister

Rear Window demister has packed in, i say packed in as i presume that it worked for the previous owner and only now it has reached the time of year where it is needed.

I have checked both fuses f20 and f25 and they are ok, i also checked the rest of the fuses and made sure that they were all seated correctly.

The switch lights up as it should however when i press the switch with the engine running i can hear a clicking coming from the fuse box...........

Anyone got any ideas

Check if anything else isn't working, heater fan and air con, if so its gone into transport mode and will need resetting

i have a similar problem, checked fuses and lights up ok but havent noticed any clicking sounds. desperate to know if theres something else i can do myself

There must also be switches where the hardtop mounts as it cuts off when fitted and switches to the hardtop screen. Might be worth checking them out.

My father has just had the same problem which I managed to fix by resetting the windows by putting them all the way down and keeping hold of the button for 10 seconds and the same on the way back up. Then, put the roof all the way down ensuring it has completed it's cycle and the windows have come back up, then put the roof back up again ensuring it has completed it's cycle by letting the windows come back up, and there you should have it, complete. It worked for us anyway :)

Just tried this technique thanks very much for letting me know, just gotta wait for some mist to test it. Fingers crossed

Good stuff, we tested it by both sitting in the car with a kettle which we had just boiled and breathing on the rear window. Let us know how you get on :)

The kettle wasn't really necessary, you see Bigosean is a 6' tall sweaty teenager !

I should know I have to share a house with him, I'm his father.

In his defence, he can't half clean a car.
