Rear de mister

@ori, that's terrible, have they had the car since end of February?
No they gave it back to me initially, but they’ve had it all month now.

They seem to think k it happens when you turn the steering wheel left so maybe something to do with power steering pump. I’m not convinced.

Let’s see what bmw Germany suggest on Tuesday. I think they are stumped. I reckon they will suggest a new rear screen next (which is a new roof).

Well she is back!
Damn I have missed her. The drive is so damn good.
The down side is that the problem isn’t fixed. BMW technical are working on a solution as it is now affecting multiple cars. Since bmw technical have a car with this issue, they don’t need mine to hopefully diagnose and fix the problem. I suspect this will be a software update from BMW.

Basically, if you turn on the rear de mister (you will hear the relay click on) and then turn the wheel (this draws more current), you may hear the relay click off. The light stays on! The relay is right behind you so you should be able to hear it.

On my car you have to do a full lock on the steering wheel, but on some it’s literally a small movement of the steering wheel and it clicks off the rear de mister.

Sounds like it's having a funny turn ;)
