The light in the rear centre console of the car isn't going out when I close the hatch. Seems like there should be some sort of arm that depresses the switch when the hatch is closed to turn the light out. Problem is I cant seem to find any broken parts or figure out what im missing. This has only just happened after the hatch door came off when I opened it so ive likely broken something. Any help would be appreciated.

There is a switch at the bottom of the compartment, and a small plastic tab on the door, it is easily broken off.
All you need to do is glue something similar in place to press the switch when the door is closed.
I did it years ago, I used a bit of metal (screw) melted into the door and some 2 part epoxy.

Easy fix as mentioned- take door off (there is a how to on here but it's a few screws and a pull). I screwed a small self tapper screw in the bottom where the plastic had snapped. 15 min job
