Rear bump stops

Gathering all the bits for a rear suspension makeover on wifey's 2.5i.
Think it's original so well overdue, but keeping to standard spec.
Found everything I need except the rear bump stops (33536761902). There's a single one for £18 on Ebay: Autodoc only stock Vaico, and they're currently not available.
From the evidence of other people who've done the job, these are likely to be disintegrating by now, so I'm not starting until I have replacements to hand.
I have found one BMW outlet that will post me a pair for £41 (For two bits of foam!!!)
Before I delve deeper into my pockets, does anyone have any other ideas of where I could find them please?

For my 3.0i I used these from ebay (https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/174087885894). According to realoem they are the the newer version (from 04/01/2005 onwards) that supersedes 33536761903. Beware this is for the 3.0i with M-Sport suspension.

The equivalent non M-Sport version for the 2.5i as you have written is 33536761902. The part number that supersedes this (from 04/03/2006 onwards) is 33536778546. The febi bilstein ebay version is here (https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/174087885892).

Bear in mind I did this superseded swap on a 3.0i with M-Sport suspension, but haven't had any issues with the "newer" version on my 2004.

Another thought I just had- I think I asked for a view on e46 bump stops fitting e85 rears- never got an answer but they looked similar and were cheap as chips….

That's great! Thank you.
So it seems now then, that the bump stop and the dust cover come as one part, whereas before you got them separately?
And this fitted perfectly as a replacement for you?

As you say, I would need the non-M version, but it is looking much more hopeful.
Cheers.

Yep, fitted absolutely fine and have had no issues with hitting the bump stops too early or late on the rear. Then again I don't find many opportunities to fully bottom out the rear suspension, I'd probably need to drive over a kerb for that! :P

Thanks for your help.
Ordered a pair for only a little more than one of the older type!
Love this forum for quick advice!
