Rear break sensor hanging off

I was driving my z4 home when the rear drivers wheel start making a scrapping grinding sound after inspection I noticed the break sensor cable is hanging down un connected to the break calliper. Wound the cable not being attached cause the pads to close on the discs or is this a failure of the calliper. Is it an easy fix to replace the cable or should I take it to the garage

I agree it is going in to get sorted. I am new to owning a z4 and I really want to learn how to fix this my self but I think on this occasion I will take it to the garage , thank you
 
To replace the sensor is a very easy DIY job
As long as there is no damage done which is unlikely, do it yourself and save a fortune on main dealer charges
Even if you had to replace the calliper and pads it's still a straightforward DIY job
