Rear brake pads fitting

So, I got the warning on the idrive this week that my brake pads need replacing. Having called BMW and being quoted £300 for parts and fitting, I decided to buy the pads only (£135 inc sensor cable) and attempt to fit them myself. I have fitted pads on previous cars (non BMW) before, but looking online there seems to be conflicting guidance on if it is a straight forward thing to do, or something that should be given to the garage.

Before I attempt this today, I wondered if anyone had any advice or experience on fitting these pads.

FYI - I do have a valid service pack and extended warranty, but turns out only the 'service pack plus' covers the brakes.

Pretty much what I did, though I removed the whole caliper as I couldn't budge the two bolts this guy removes as the inner hex was an odd size, think 15mm a/f.
Also the wear sensor on the right side was a bit of faff as BMW in their wisdom instead of having a connector next the the caliper, its under the right sill.
 
Having problems winding the piston in - it is so stiff. Can't understand how in the video he's managed to turn it so freely with a screwdriver. Any ideas flybobbie?
 
Hi have you unscrewed the brake fluid cylinder cap to release the pressure?. It makes a huge difference.?. Also if you have a g clamp then this can achieve the same at no extra cost?
 
Got to admit, didn't screw the piston, removed gear and motor and screwed back from behind. Didn't want to risk damaging rubber.
Also loosened off bleed nipple and drained via pipe into jar so that I could releases any back pressure.
I think loosening the reservoir cap won't make any difference as it probably vented to atmosphere anyway.
