Rear brake dust shields.

I'm going to repaint the rear dust shields but just wondered if it is a case of removing the rear calipers to get them off?

Any advice is greatfully recieved.

No bud, you have to remove the hub and that means replacing the bearing to get it back on.

This work-around from Pelican has been posted on here before, they are pretty reputable but I don't know if anybody actually did it? It involves cutting slots in the new plate to slide it over the loosened bolts rather than removing the hub assembly.
