Rear Brake Discs & Pads

Hi Guys,

I need a set of Discs & pads for my 2006 2.5si.
Can anyone reccomend something? I'm looking for normal road use, but good quality, and hard wearing at a decent price.

I did get some EBC blackstuff brake pads for my MX5 some years back which were road use and were great, but cant seem to find them. Are they discontinued now?

EBC pads (in ascending order of performance) are Ultimax (black), Greenstuff, Redstuff, Yellowstuff, Bluestuff, Orangestuff.

I had Yellows on my Z4MC for about 40k miles, and have now gone to Bluestuff which are a better track pad but produce more dust than the Yellowstuff.

If you don't need a performance pad and just want long life and low dust, then I think OE-spec pads (bought from Eurocarparts, with a discount code) would be the best bet.

Textar are OEM and are part of the TMD Friction Group, which also includes Pagid (who are also an OEM supplier) and Mintex.

Don't know who Eicher are, but have read that they're simply a company who'll make brakes for anyone to whatever price-point they request - in this case as a budget pad for EuroCarParts.
 
Ok i've just ordered the premium solid rear discs & premium rear pads from GSF.... will let you know how they are!
 
I had greenstuff pads fitted all round to my 3.0si last week and they're great! Really grippy though the guy who fitted them did say to watch disk wear....

Ahhh sorry I miss read lol ascending not descending

I need pads and discs soon to go with my 330 calipers

Ok parts came today - really quick service from GSF.
I'm also quite impressed with the products. I ordered their 'premium' marked parts. The pads are Brembo pads, and the Discs are Zimmermann Coat-Z anti-corrosion discs.

All in £93 including delivery - chuffed!
