Rear BMW badge

You need a J cloth and a credit card. Slide the credit card under the badge with the J cloth underneath to protect the paint. By pulling the card gently towards you the badge will slowly come away but take your time
 
Just make sure it's a card you don't use, else you'll be calling them up for a new one :lol: speaking from personal experience here.

If you need new grommets, I have 2 which I ordered from BMW but never used as my original ones were fine.
 
Thanks guys, pretty generous ben g but all good it happened while i took it to the car detailing place im guessing high pressure water hose made sections of it fade but yeh the guy has agreed to fix it at his own cost so shouldnt be a problem.

What about the badge on the trunk/boot? comes off same way and easy to replace?

If you mean the Z4 logo then this is stuck on with double-sided foam pads. If you want to remove it then feed some strong fishing line under the logo and 'saw' the lettering off. Pick any remaining foam off and clean up any adhesive with tar and glue remover. You will probably need to cut/polish/wax the paintwork where the logo was as it will be shiny and un-weathered. :thumbsup:
 
I am asking how to replace the rear bmw badge on the trunk not the Z4 badge. would this be the exact same procedure as replacing the bmw badge on the side of the car?
