Rear Anti Roll Bar removal - help needed!!

Hi All,

Doing drop link and Bush replacement on rear ARB(Sway Bar) (E85) and managed to get the roll bar completely loose but cannot work out how to get it out to remove the old links. The cross beams that meet in the middle with two bolts seem to block the removal. Is it a case of in doing these?

Is there any tricks to getting this out? Car is on axle stands wheels off currently!

Thanks

Tom

I replaced the bushes with the arb on the car. The drop links I got the garage to pull them off.

Not sure if you need to take the exhaust off to completely remove the arb 🤷‍♂️?

Edit, re read your post and it's the cross members not the exhaust.

Although i removed the whole subframe wish bones and ARB

If you remove the bolt through the top bush in the ARB drop link both sides it should allow the ARB to drop enough to get the link into a position to pull the link off the ARB (it is a simple as that) add some washing up lighid to the ARB and pull wear some gloves and some arm padding for when you slip and bang your funny bone or arm etc.

Lube up the ARB and new bush and push on.

This is the bolt to remove or all 3 and the bracket comes out as well

Cheers All!

Managed to get the links off with some brute force and washing up liquid! An absolute sod of a job though- didn’t enjoy getting everything on. Fiddly job!
