Rear 294mm brake calliper identification

Looking to sort the rear brakes at some point following flagging in a recent MOT.

So as part of the works I’m looking to source some 2nd hand callipers so I can refurb them over a few weeks in my spare time... and still be able to drive the Zed.

So basically what I’m after is physical identification of the 3.0i callipers. So I can check it with parts on eBay.

AFAIK the 3.0i and 2.5si and 3.0si all had the same rear calliper set up (294mm). Which was also shared on the e46 platform.

So any identification of numbers/stamps on the calliper would be appreciated. I know what part number(s) I need, but more often that not, the seller doesn’t know the part number.

Many thanks! Kis

Not sure I can help with physical identification numbers, sorry.

But if you are after a cheap rear caliper replacement what I did was re-used the caliper bracket (gave it a quick wire wheel and paint) and then bought some new non-OE calipers from autodoc. They probably aren't the best quality, but I've taken them on track a few times and they have coped well to be honest.

I went for STARK, but can see these are the only ones they sell now (https://www.autodoc.co.uk/maxgear/13935978). I also bought some new ATE guide pins as I thought I may as well.

Not sure if this is a route you want to go down, but hope it helps if it is.

EDIT: I lied slightly, they do a lot more than just the MAXGEAR ones: Here. Bear in mind some of them are new and some of them are remanufactured.

I have the same Maxgear ones from Autodoc (82-0243 & 82-0244). Reused the OE brackets and fitted brass sliders. Even pad wear and zero issues.

Sorry I don't know numbers on the parts themselves but he's a couple of ref numbers that may help steer you in the right direction.... Brake Engineering, CA2070 & CA2070R or TRW refs, BHN627E & BHN628E.

Cheers guys. Will venture out and whip a wheel off when I get the car back.

Rear caliper left 34 21 6 758 135 and right 34 21 6 758 136.
2.5si 3.0i and 3.0si have all the same rear brake setup.
But what is more nearly all e46 have the same setup, so it is a lot of easier to get e46 rear calipers.
