Reaonance/buzzing on bass notes - carver hifi

As per the above - I’m getting an annoying reverberation from the carver subs behind the seats. I pulled the panels off and the drivers side sub has had the cone damaged/poked in. Pulled it out using the vacuum cleaner trick but still the buzzing on bass notes

Is this a common issue with the carver set up or do I have a dud sub? The HK set up in my f30 sounds great with none of this so makes me suspect the speaker is damaged. Trying to work out what my next step should be.

I have this set up (dsp) but not noticed anything like that. Sounds like a blown speaker bud.
