Mine is leaving the fleet tomorrow to another forum member. I had some last minute tinkering on it at a garage and the owner told me what a fool I am for letting it go..........:-(

Last drive home just now and the sun was out and the car was running like a dream. I'll probably regret this!

:o  Sorry to hear that

....and it's gone. No more epic coastal drives...:-(1501137591455.jpg

Oh no, what will replace it?

It's a very nice colour indeed,Dan

There are some great colours out there.
Yours, the Sepang bronzes, etc, etc and The Midnight Blue M Coupes, such as Original guvnor has

Thanks. Yes, I do like it. It's quite understated. I didn't particularly search out this colour, I bought the car because it was such a low mileage and pristine car and someone I knew on Pistonheads was selling it locally. When I bought it, the car had never seen rain!

Unfortunately between the time I sold it in 2012 and bought it back last year, it had been stored under a cover and was barely used, so it does now need some TLC to get it back to its former glory. Once I've got the door and front painted, I'll get it all detailed to get rid of the swirls and scratches from the cover to bring it back to how it should be. May get it ceramic coated.

There are some particularly nice colours, midnight blue is stunning and Sepang Bronze is just lovely!

Yeah, good how things turned out and you were able to buy it back.
Thought alot about getting mine ceramic coated, even bought stuff to do it a few years ago,but wasn't brave enough to try it myself.
Will need to get the front end on mine sprayed to eliminate stone chips, then a detail.
All that isn't cheap when you have a baby in the house, lol

Yeah, Original Guvnors Midnt blue M Coupes the only one I have seen in the flesh.

Yet to see a Monaco Blue M Roadster in the flesh, hopefully get to see it at a meet sometime :driving:

I know how you feel about not driving the Zed

Mine isn’t sorned but has only been out three times over the winter

A great run up towards the Scottish border in November then an icy run over Ribblehead in January and then last week an impromptu sunny dry Friday and the urge was too great to resist

But it sits there resting in a warm garage, covered and on a ctek waiting for the call

And when you have random days like this it’s hard to resist flexing the beast ...

I’m in the same predicament as many here. My Imola red Z4MR was SORNed back in November and will not come out of its ‘especially built for him’ garage until the salt has disappeared from the roads! Every now and again I go in the garage for a stroke, a hug and kiss. I also sit in for a while to listen to music while I make vroom-vroom noises ( no kiddin’! :driving:  ) and reminisce of summer drives listening to that 6-cyl howl above 5k rpm. That keeps me going

Just drive it!! Never understood the winter thing as winters in the UK aren't so bad. Definitely been some sunny days recently for a nice drive, albeit got to be careful as temps are low and tyres struggle! Makes it fun though :driving:
