Real World MPG for the Z4 23i

Hi

Looking at buying a Z4 (2010) 23i SDrive. I've read the tech specs for fuel economy (22.8 Urban, 45.6 Extra Urban and 33.2 combined). I know people don't buy a sportscar for great fuel economy but there has to be a limit right?! I do 20k miles per year and the lions share is on a motorway.

I just wondered what people are experiencing in the real World with this car?

Please let me know what you're averaging and the type of driving you do - it will help me greatly in my decision.

Welcome.

Most of my driving is about town (urban), and mine shows an average of around 29mpg.

I'm sure someone will be along to comment on their experiences of mainly extra urban (motorway) - sars, where are you?

My wife drives to Glasgow and back mon-fri on motorway 35 mile round trip so not massive miles (car not warmed up) but it's had 30mpg from new, and this includes more "spirited" drives by myself.
The cars done 14k miles from new
Ps the slk we had before the 200slk only managed 27mpg, smaller engine and less economical.

I get average of 20 from my 35i in London....but I like the sound of the engine too much, hence my low mpg!!
