Driving Miss Daisy: 35mpg

Sport / + mode: lucky to break 30.

If it's speed and mpg your after... try the vw golf, my old 2.0gt tdi chipped golf was lightning and returned 50mpg no matter how hard it was driven.

Since the switch though...I have not been disappointed.

My daily commute to work is roughly 150 miles round trip. I certainly will not drive this car every day, but I know that I will drive it very often.

I figure I'll be lucky to get 20 MPG (US) but if I were looking for something higher I would have purchased a Toyota Prius.

I wanted a sports car, so I ordered the E89. However, with the kind of gas mileage yall are seeing on the N20 I'm begining to think that maybe I should have gone that route instead of the N54.

150 round trip.....my daily commute is 4 miles round trip and we're moving base....I'm getting upset that its going to rise to 24 round trip!!!! haha!!!! In one way I'm pleased, cos it'll probably give the engine time to warm up and do it more good than just a 2 mile drive, but I estimated 10k miles a year for the finance, and this move will take up about 5k of those, just to get to work. I must say in my defence, I travel during the day with my work, so haven't got a car for a 2 mile journey alone!!!

OBC
2277 miles - 448.0 miles since fill up - estimated 23 miles - (overall estimated miles 471.0) - average 37.8 mph - 42.8 mpg

Calculated - 40.4 mpg

Now for a tank full with a bit more fun  :driving:

1350 miles done so past the break in period.

Now getting 30.7MPG (Speed of 16.7MPH) with all town driving. I will let BMW off with the 0.3 MPG as I do tackle some hills.
