I didn't bother with the DVD changer as I will use my iPod, and gave cruise-control a miss as I've had that on my last few cars and never used it. Roll on 13th June. I'll try and keep this one for a few years to spread out the depreciation. It was just bad timing with the M5 to purchase just prior to the big crash in use car prices. :headbang: I've financed this one with a guaranteed future value, so definitely can't lose that much per year this time, unless BMW go out of business.

How many people do really watch TV in their car?
 
That's one serious spec. you put together there.

Out of interest how much did it come in at and what are BMW projecting as its guaranteed future value?
 
OK, probably shouldn't have ordered the TV option and the heated steering wheel. :rofl: I should have spent a bit more time considering the specification - but I was just to impatient. It has been over six months of waiting since BMW sent the mail-shot about the new Z4, last December.

It will lose £10230 a year for three years.

This will be far from my mind when driving it all summer with the roof down :D

Well i might consider buying it off you for £15k in three years time, if you sell it then :wink:

But the search returned nothing. Autotrader site currently shows 2 sDrive35i (£40-42k) and 2 sDrive23i (£34k) available for sale from BMW dealers.

On paper mines .1 sec quicker to 62 and as anyone knows, the paper facts don't tell the true story! That would feel a huge difference on the road! :P
 
LOL. TBH I thought the same, somehow going from a 3.0Si to a 30i just doesn't seem right somehow in spite of the performance being identical, it needs to be the 35i.

MikeWorsfold, what colour is this wood you have ordered? I quite like the dark wood that comes with the white seats, but not sure about the other one with red leather?
 
The car configuration online and when ordering at the dealer would not allow the darker wood (4CE Fineline Anthracite) with the black paint and red leather, and I am not a fan of the modern silver or aluminium trim, as it reminds me of cheap plastic Amstrad stereos of the early 1980's :) So I went for the lighter wood (4BN Dark Ash). It's all down to personal taste in the end - everyone else likes the silver finish in my M5, so I accept that I have odd taste. :D The lighter wood is still reasonably dark, but the darker wood would have been nicer.
 
Hi all, A Newbie here.

I placed an order for a 30i on Monday in Blue with sand coloured leather (I can't bring myself to call it beige!) and a few options. I think I got a good deal - £1700 over book value for my Cooper S that I am trading in and free bluetooth on the Z4. Delivery will be mid July.

Thats interesting there seems to be more and more people ordering new z4. Thats good. interesting to get r/w from normal people.
 
Got a call from the dealer today, the car, originally due in July, has turned up early and I can pick it up on Tuesday. :D :D

I can't wait. I hope it will be sunny.
