Hi, been using my bike a fair bit lately as its been so fine, it's good through the traffic & can get around 80mpg if I'm careful as well :P

Is that the 800 twin? I did a tour up round the highlands with a friend that had the 800gs and his mpg was quite impressive.

Hi Dave, yes it's an f800gt-same engine as your friends really apart from belt final drive & a higher power tune (90bhp)

Nice , I had the same bike, twice along with a k1200s twice before settling for 7 years with R1200RT and an HP2 sport , but sold both last year as they weren't getting ridden and I went Italian again and bought a Guzzi to tinker with . Rebuild it over a few weeks last winter . Posted some videos on YouTube under hamstersbrother . Anyway it gives me Italian style, shaft drive and a thumping sound track , but it's not an everyday bike .

here you go......some pics, but how do you find the 800gs against the 1200 gs ?

Nice 8)
Most of my riding these days is primarily a 50mile work commute which the GT is better suited to with its slimmer size & more agile handling, the economy is also a plus factor-im very pleased with this bike so far.
If I was regularly biking long distance I would have kept the GS (which I owned for ten years) or traded in for an RT.
As soon as the road salt appears the bike hibernates in the garage :P
