Ready for the winds?

Just put everything away that might blow about in the winds tonight.
Hoping the willow trees hold up in the garden and there isn't too much damage. You never know they might be blowing it all out of proportion
Might even take the cover off the Zed in case it rips.
Stay safe

Bit concerned about my narrow boat, no much to be done other than check the lines and hope for the best!

I've just had to go out and secure the BBQ cover, its already blown over a chair too. We're not meant to be in the really bad zone and we're in a dip with hills either side as well.

I love my narrow boat holidays did look into buy one back a bit :D got any pictures.

Will see how bad it is rush hour tomorrow morning when its supposed to be at its worst for Stafford, not sure I fancy driving through it in a soft top :?

Looking at the Met Office map the line between amber and yellow goes pretty much through Stafford, although their saying it could veer further south and miss the UK or veer further north and include Yorkshire etc....who knows :|

My roof has been creaking a little in all this wind. Zed is tucked up underground.

It's been fairly tame up here to be fair

It was quite windy here this morning but has calmed down now, I think the winds/gusts will be worse on the tail end of the storm, the biggest concern is flooding upto 2" is forecast overnight, luckily I live on a hill, good for flooding but not when windy :|

I wouldn't be surprised if flights at Gatwick and Heathrow are suspended for a while if the gusting becomes hairy.

It's an Autumn gale. The sort of autumn gale we often get in October. The way the media whittle about everything these days you'd think it was a hurricane or cyclone. 3" of snow and we get "severe weather warnings". Pathetic.

You wait now...I'll post pictures of my half-destroyed house tomorrow morning sans its roof!!

Well Im sitting out the storm here in Marco Island Florida can't say Im too affected slight breeze 28 deg blue sky watching dolphins swim by the back lawn.

The Z dd's wrapped up back home in the garage plugged into it's C-tek .
hope theres no pwer cut!

Keep safe

I'm flying in to Gatwick after a week away at 12 tonight, hopefully the plane won't be diverted...

Hope it is all fine. Let us know how you get on then I might have some idea what may happen with my parents flight too.

Got an early morning flight tomorrow, bet it gets cancelled/postponed after I've checked in  if not, the wind will make for an entertaining take off/ landing :D
