Ready for Bond , James Bond ?

Next weekend most likely, or perhaps in one evening. Don't like crowds so need to chose a good time.

+1 looking forward to seeing it but I always wait until films are nearing the end of their run for a half empty cinema, I always seem to get the fat sweaty lump sitting next seat taking all the armrest up and noshing all the way through or the group of teenagers behind talking and kicking my seat. Embarrassingly got into a brawl in a cinema once because of that...

Looking forward to it, love Christopher Waltz, going Thursday I think,

How can anyone not be looking forward to Episode 7 of Star Wars, :headbang:

and yes the Martian was very very good, having read the book a few times I was a little disappointed but then you can't fit as much in a film

I have 3 tickets to see The Force Awakens in 3D at an IMAX cinema on the 19th December. I am SO excited it's ridiculously embarrassing :D

Love the current James Bond films with Daniel Craig, my favourite being Casino Royale...... My wife loves Daniel Craig and I'm sure she would love to get down and dirty with him :o

Oh you lucky lucky thing you,

and one of life's little coincidences, my Dad took me to see The Empire Strikes Back at the Odeon Leicester Sq the week it was released, his birthday was the 19th December

Very true - the Bourne series definitely impacted on Bond. I would put Jason Statham in a higher league than the Rock and Vin, certain his more recent films. Denzel Washington can still shake it - have you seen the Equalizer, also Man on Fire from a few years back

I love Vin Diesel, but not enough to waste my money on his new film, Denzel is just uber cool, can't think of a film he's in that I haven't liked, my favourite has to be Inside Man

I've been doubting my memory recently, as I'm sure the first ever movie I went to see at the cinema was The Empire Strikes Back, with my Dad. But I would only have been 7 or 8, which doesn't seem right :?

Weird if it was though :D

Sorry PVR, all taken by the family :D

When I saw Martian the other day the Bond trailer went on and on and on - I had my eyes closed otherwise I'd have seen all the film's highlights!

Epic - car chase in Rome one of the best Ive seen n a Bond film - the sound of that Aston Martin is brilliant.

Thought this was more of a big bond film after the "unplugged" nature of Skyfall - some great locations and the baddie is a real tour de force performance .

Not seen Spectre, as the Bourne films ruined any interest in Bond for me.

I hear there is a new Bourne film coming out next year - http://deadline.com/2015/09/matt-damon-bourne-1201518360

Why? :?

Personal taste?

Casino Royal was a new lease of life for the Bond franchise, well when looking back to the previous 90's releases. Bourne Identity was a game changer when it was released with Eon the first to take note. However I feel the Bond franchise is back to churning out films with its dated and predictable format, a megalomaniac bent on world domination, a bond girl who in most cases dies, technology that doesn't exist nor could the MI5 afford, saying that there only appears to be a handful of people on the payroll

I think Bourne is more realistic in its story line and plot, as well as a more likeable character.

Fair enough, it's just a movie though not a documentary. Prefered the Roger Moor Bond films myself, as I found them very funny. I like Bourne but it's not funny like good Bond films should be. Can't say I take much notice of the tech stuff it's just filling. :D

Saw Spectre yesterday, absolutely loved it, of the Daniel Craig films my order of preference is:- Spectre, Casino Royale, Skyfall & Quantum, but then I would put Spectre first as I have a slight vested interest in the film being awesome & not a dud

Going to tomorrow as well. Really looking forward to it.

Going back a couple of posts although I love the Original Bourne films the Daniel Craig Bond films have been great and I agree with TonyP 's running order of quality.

What link do you have to Spectre Tony?

No actual link, but I've got the Omega Seamaster 300 'Spectre' watch as worn in the film hence hoping it will be remembered as a decent Bond film, purchased as a long term investment, lucky enough to get a really low serial number out of the 7007 limited edition run.
