Read but keep your cool :o)

To be honest, a forum that is named after a chassis number has it's head halfway up it's own arse anyway

Some balanced comments, some idiots - the world is the same over, on or off-line...

i agree in the car may look feminine but thats only because it has gorgeous curves and thats what is so attractive about it..... its not a girls car however, the size of the bonnet puts most of them off lol

Stupid yanks haha

I like f30 but if I was in the market for a 4 seater a z4 is hardly the best comparative

Even if he did only use back seats twice they are still there

Coming from a 335i (E90), even with nearly the same amount of power the Z4 is quite different. To each their own, but the Z4 keeps a much bigger smile on my face when I'm driving.

Not everyone will enjoy the design of the Z4, but FFS, it's one of BMW's best designs lately. I hear the service techs even praise the design. Oh well... what do you expect.

My old lady loves my zed, but not driving it. She sticks to the her Audi TT. The zed ain't a girls car (except for Carol).

There is some sense there... The american market is used to big muscle cars... The Z is too small and impractical for them... Especially with their supermarkets being big warehouses.... The boot is just too small.

I guess the Z to them is like a fiat 500 to us.... Hardly girly but more girly then a sedan/ coupe.

All personal choice, and that whole female car thing is just a load of bollocks. Do they consider the Range Rover Sport or Porsche Cayenne to be girl cars? Most of the time when I see them, there's a women behind the steering wheel.

I agree with aquazi, different market there, different taste, they love to tune their cars too, like a 35is is underpowered :?

What amazed me most was the number of people saying 'buy a boxster instead'. Why ???

To be honest,
I love my 3.0si, sometimes miss the lsd, and hate the understeer, but overall its excellent.
But I think e89 is less a drivers car then e85/86.
So if I had to choose between e89 and a boxster I wouldve chosen a boxster..
But between e85 and a boxster I chose an e85, and dont have any regrets about it :)

Unfortunately Bing because in 2013 guise it's a lot more accomplished than an E89 in just about every way. This holds true if you were buying a 28i or 35i/is as they are comparable in price to the Boxsters but not necessarily with the 2.0i, because it is a lot cheaper than the entry-level Boxster.

Surely a 2 seater vs a 3 series is not a fair comparison, as it depends what he wants. He said he's single.

Our z4 is not a practical car with 3 dogs, but we have a 1 series as well, so it's workable. Each to there own, I think the only person who can answer his question is him!

If I had the money I would buy the new boxster over the e89, but only the new model 2012/2013
Next on my list when the second hand prices come down a bit.

Sorry guys, always had bm,s but that boxster is just sweeeeeeeeet :D

+1

The new boxter looks well lush! especially as its virtually comparable in price to an 35is.

I'll be waiting for a new cayman though.
