Re-tune

Do you guys thinks it's worth getting my 3.0si retuned. The cost will be £265 for the supposed tuneup. Attached. This will be done on my doorstep.
OR do you guys know where I could get it tuned up more for a good price. I'm from the North West.

There's been a few owners on here that have done similar in the past.

Maybe look into the risks vs the benefits as it's been done before.

I'm in the thinking of, if you want more power go for an M.

The tolerances alone must be very finite. I'd hate for you to throw money down the drain, when you could be spending it at the pub. But in the same sentence, I'm happy to be proven wrong.
Personally, I'd be quite shocked if my car, given the age, mileage, my car is still carrying all 265 horses. I'd have thought it's more realistic to expect upto a 10% drop from the performance stats from when the car was new. I'd look at trying to restore those lost horses before looking to add more. But hey, that's just my 2p's worth.

I actually wonder how many people use all of the power available anyway. Sometimes I think I should have gone for the 3.0 over the 2.5 but then I actually wring its neck for five minutes and think that maybe I should have got the 2.0.

Traditionally, mapping N/A petrols was simply a way of extracting money from people. With the VANOS and other clever timing gubbins, mapping has more it can actually affect but whether that translates into real world improvements would be interesting to know.
