Hi Pbonder asked this question to the tuner ie stating fly and he confirmed that its whp not crank. 233bhp at the wheels is consistant with other 28i's on the Web as we know bmw under rates there engines

Thnx, the dyno numbers don't quite line up with WHP figures but , line up well with flywheel..hence why I asked ..

Also just asked on the greabox as the auto without mods would in theory back the peak torque off..

Please make sure you get some decent copies of the dyno runs boys and don’t spill water or coffee on the printouts..

In each case it would be helpful to know..

Year / month of car production
Decat and/or options
Mileage
Any fresh plugs n coils etc

That reminds me, P Torque never did respond to my email asking them to send me another copy, I'll have to chase them. I do like Will at P Torque, he does seem to really know his stuff and he's great to deal with in person. But when it come to responding to emails he's absolutely shocking. I kinda understand that up to a point when your dealing with random enquiries that may be from time wasters. But surely once someone's book in and paid a deposit, or actually been for a remap a few days before (in my case) a better response is to be expected.

It must be costing his business to some extent and it did frustrate me in the run up to my remap so I not really surprised he's not responded to me post remap. Maybe I should go old school and just pick up the phone!

Sometimes it is the best way! saying that these days more and more I am finding business's don't pick up their phones! seems like we are heading into a non contact world where the only socialising will be through social media!

Boltz, I’m really hoping Wolverhampton doesn’t go into lockdown in the next 10 days 😳

Honestly, I think you'll be fine, I think any lockdown this time with be all around the socializing side of things, not the commercial/industrial.

I think we will be okay If pubs can still open during the day I am sure establishments such as Ptorque will not be closing their doors unless instructed to do so👍

Next week can’t come round quick enough for me Boltz, my car is with Will for 2 days. Are you planning to have a dyno run with your current setup and a second dyno run after Will has applied his remap?

Yes a before which will have a Supersprint decat system and Celtic map and then the after but this time with Ptorque’s stage 2. Had a call this morning from Ptorque confirming if I am still okay for next weeks slot...too right I am!!!!!!

Excellent, looking forward to seeing what Will remap yours too although 48 hours later I’ll know what my Z is pushing out. Previously owned a e85 3.0se (231bhp) and that could shift and sounded awesome driving through the Queensway tunnels with the roof down.

Yes the Queensway tunnels have provided many a great engine noise over the years👍 Probably the best sound for me was a Mk4 R32 Golf I owned fitted with a full Miltek system closely followed by the Impreza STI 😁

Well back from The Performance Centre in Sunderland.. here is the fully Bondar-ised version..Bigger MHI turbo, VSRF de-cat, Wagner intercooler and stage 3 re-map.. 302 BHP and 456nm not to shabby, but was expecting more given the American hype...more discussion here.. https://z4-forum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=46&t=124513&p=1779711#p1779711

Peter 302bhp and 456nm looks really impressive to me and all from a 4 pot👍plus all the other upgrades you have done a well sorted E89. Enjoy!!

Just getting ready now to take the E89 to Ptorque for the individual remap which will hopefully see the little 18i producing 280 bhp later today. I will put up the before and after dyno runs and it will be interesting to see what the current Celtic on the drive map is actually doing.
