re floppy front bush

I've just taken My Z4 in for it's first Control Technic which is the French version of an MOT. My front rear Bushes are gone.(if you know what I mean ) Now I know no one likes a floppy bush. Just wondering who has tried the Powerflex bushes, or whether you just went oem. She failed by the way on a rear tyre which had a weird mark on the inner wall of the tyre just were the tread finishes. All the rest were advisories. Amazingly, I do not have to change the headlights. Flipping the lever on the headlight unit was enough. So now I have to add the bushes to the long list of jobs I know I have to do. (rocker cover gasket, vanos o rings, disks and pads all round. )Any thoughts appreciated.
 
I've run Powerflex control arm bushes on all 3 of my previous cars and I cannot fault them.

The best bit is that they are much easier to fit than OEM, if that helps at all. The ride is undeniably firmer and you'll get more road noise, the trade off being that the steering will feel more direct and you'll be safe in the knowledge that the bushes won't need to be replaced again.

I only started using poly bushes after one too many short-term failures with "oem" bushes, and wouldn't use anything else now.
 
Meyle hd get my vote. not that I have used the poly bushes but I know the complete swinging arms for two hundred quid and an afternoon faffing about fitting them seemed like progress without significant cost.
 
Poly is too stiff for each suspension component - especially with low profile tyres; you need some suppleness.

I also replaced the front lower arms.

Be prepared for other issues to potentially arise - I think floppy front bushes tend to hide other issues.
