Just a heads up. At Lidl (don't laugh) this week, they will be selling a trickle charger/ battery conditioner for £14.99. I bought one of these about 5 years ago (still going strong) and now have 3 of these in use. They're possibly C-Tek but sold under another name. They carry a 3 year guarantee and IMO a superb buy. in the rainy season when i dont use the car so much i used to leave a tricle charger , conditioner pluged into the cigarette lighter socket. on my z3mr i could just leave the leccy window down a few mm to alow the wire through, but on the z4mc the windows have the function that closes the window right up when you close the door abd i fear it would damage the wire or the door or window seal, any ideas ? thanks 
Bought one of these and have to say, so far it seems a really good piece of kit for the money. Thanks for the heads up

same worry re rubber seal or have to leave tailgate unlatched, not a problem on the mr's i guess as they only have a tent for a roof

I attached the charger to the charging points under the bonnet and the cable slides nicely down the gap at the side of the bonnet and then the bonnet shuts without a problem. Simples
