Just changed the lower air intake boot on my 2005 z4 auto. Cant find this pipe on realoem. Anyone know what it is because it's in a state. Runs along side the fuel rail.

Assuming you mean the one with the cracked foam covering, that's part of the CCV system
So other than it looks horrible it's not an issue.
Pretty sure it’s just Armaflex pipe lagging if you wanted to refresh.
