Re Another Z4

I have just picked up another Z4 in the UK. Can't post picks at the moment. ( Yes I know this thread is nothing without photo's ) Its a 2005 2.5i auto. Just wondering what the little switch is down by the bonnet pull and boot release. There is nothing in the book, but I am assuming it turns the air bags off. Is this correct. Cheers in advance most knowledgeable ones.

Its definitely not the boot release. I know what that is as I already have a z4. In the book it says there is a key to turn the airbag off on the passenger side. i have looked and the is no key hole there its blanked off. The switch is just to the left of the boot release button, its round, and when the switch is active it shows a red band to indicate what ever it is doing is active. I will get a picture up when I get back to the UK at the weekend.

Airbag turn of is not a button(you have to insert your key), and iTS located on the side of the dashboard. ( it comes with the isofix option). Maybe iTS for a stinger or other radar detection device ?

Well I think I found out what the extra switch is. This Z4 has parking sensors front and rear, but it seems only the rear ones are factory fit. The front ones appear to have been added at a later date. Hense the switch.

True - which is bonkers cos it's the front where you need the sensors. I remember thinking when I drove my first Zed - hell; that bonnet goes on forever!'
