Re 89

Am considering the red e89 3.0i sdrive they have up for sale, and was hoping someone may know of them, or be close enough to check it out.
Would post a link if I could😳
Cheers

I can see why the price may tempt for the 30i E89 but its 72k - 2009 with Se seats , 17inch wheels & navless so plenty going against it .
Bear in mind around £10k you can get a much newer ( 2011 - 2012) similar miles Msport 20i or Msport 23i & i know where my money would be going . The 30is are worth seeking out but for me it needs to be the right one

Yeh get where you’re coming from Andy.
So 2.0i or 23i
Not up on the E89 model differences
Much between the two?
Similar power?

They've had quite a few Z4s in the last few years.

I live a couple of miles away, so could take a look at it if that would help. I have spoken to the guy there once and he seemed OK.

PM me if you'd like me to take a look at it, and tell me exactly what you'd want looked at.

Mr Tidy has kindly agreed to have a look at the E89 for me.
The said garage, have offered a very reasonable px price on my car.
The question is, should I wait and do as Mr Wilks has suggested , and consider 23i m sport with higher spec at similar budget 9000.
Should I be considering e86 coupes?
The car that Mr Tidy is going to look at , doesn’t have nav, but not to bothered as never use it.
Doesn’t have m sport seats, would be nice but not a deal breaker, wheels I agree will probably change at some stage.
Good px price is obviously a tempting offer, but would I be better to wait and head in a different choice direction?
Decisions 😳

Selling privately can be a pain in the ass. You'll obviously get more money, but if the px price is a number you're happy with then it might be a great option!

Hi, sounds like you need to go & try a few different cars to get a clearer idea of what’s best for you?

I'm afraid there' seems to be a lack of good ones across the whole country. I'm on a 300 mile journey to pick mine up as there wasn't a single car in Scotland at the right spec/price for me :(

Not so concerned about travelling for the right car, but would be nice to try some that were closer.
Am going to look at M.M.M’s at the weekend so we shall see😀

Where are you? I’m in Urgashay if you want a look round an e89, it’s only a 2litre though

Yes, near the Haines motor museum & queen camel :)

That does look to be a bargain even if it is quite light on the bells-n-whistles. My 3.0 didn't come with much but its still a great car to drive, I've not got sat nav but not fussed about that (the area that would hold the sat nav holds my sunglasses instead!). I also don't have the sports seats but that has worked out to be quite nice anyhow. It all depends on what you want at the end of the day I guess!

I’m undecided at the moment.
Will see what Mr Tidy thinks when he’s had a look.
I don’t want to jump in for the wrong reasons, just because they’ve offered a good px, 4500, which I would accept in a private sale.
Call me cynical, but I question such a fair offer from a dealer, is the E89 a lemon, or does he just feel he can turn a profit from both cars and is happy with that?
