RCH Issues

Hey guys, I just installed my RCH from gap tech today.

I triple checked all of the connections, and for whatever reason it just does not want to work.

Are there any common problems/something that I'm missing that would cause this?

Did all of the scotch lock connectors click into place? I had to squeeze one of the connections twice as it wasn't fully snapped

Yes all clicked into place, multiple times to check.

Yeah check the scotchloks as I installed one at the weekend and the casing around the RCH wires hadn't cut through fully. So I eventually stripped and then soldered which worked a treat!

Other than that all I can suggest is whether they are connecting the correct wires

Does the connection have to be at the tip of the wire, where the wire is actually exposed?

No, the scotch locks pierce through the wire and the casing, I joined mine roughly mid way

That's what I thought, but for whatever reason, it just won't work.

I fitted one the other night and had a right carry on with it. After 2 hours messing around with the scotch locks it eventialy worked but i ended up snapping the wires when putting the ash tray surround back in. Pulled it all out and just taped up in the end. Works a treat now love it!!

You taped what to what?

The brown puple and brown red snapped on the loom so i just ended up taping them up with the 2 wires from the rch+ module

I might try just doing that. Thanks all! It actually worked by accident this morning. I was walking outside, and it was raining, I unlocked the car, hit it three times by accident, and the top went down. However, then it wouldn't go back up.

Defo connection try cutting back the plastic covering then putting the scotch lock on like i say i had same problem

How do I get the loks off without breaking the wires?

Lever the metal bit up with a screw driver.
