I must post again I have owned my z for a couple of months now and I am totally enjoying it
I haven't taken it on a really long run yet just short onestories
I take my lad to school in it in Halesowen West Midlands drive to the gym and just have a laugh
I have noticed that a lot of drivers come right up close to u and I have a bit of fun and watch them in my mirror get further away
I tried the sport button out along a empty by pass I revved it to 3000 revs pushed the sport button and it just took off the sheer raw power surprised me but it's nice to know it is there if u need it
I am not really a speed merchant just like cruising about
I have noticed a couple of zs in the morning on the school run one of them I waved and smiled but no response he did see me miserable git haha
I needed a couple of tyres and as I have 17 wheels decided to keep the run flats and they r great and I don't have ms port suspension
OK for reading

Not many other Z drivers wave at you, some do though. I had 17"daisys on mine and put non run flats on them, this made the car so much more stable. I now have 18" ellipsoids on with non run flats. You will find some drivers of non Z cars, won't let you out at junctions and act like dicks, I put this down to jealousy :)
What spec is your car by the way.

Bog standard trim standard suspension perhaps I should have looked around a bit more but it just felt right gut feeling and it's been great

Great to hear you are loving your Zed Big Mike. They are wee beasties aren't they. :driving:

Glad you're enjoying it.
Just to burst one bubble - the sport button doesn't make any difference whatsoever to the power. Just changes the amount you have to pres the throttle to WOT.
Lightens steering and changes gearbox shift point son an auto.

Glad your enjoying your z I also have a sterling grey one maybe meet up for drive live in West Bromwich pm me if interested happy motoring

Well since the power delivery is through the accelerator pedal its sort of understandable: suddenly the pick up seems quicker - the same touch to the pedal now delivers the power quicker and the car feels more urgent

Glad that you're enjoying the Zed, which after all is the point of having one!

Carry on waving to fellow Zed owners. Some do respond and some of them are on here!

To be correct it doesn't deliver any more power or quicker. All that is happening is that as the movement is less you are fooled into in effect pushing the pedal further that you would normally.

Autos are different as it changes the shift points

I think we're saying the same thing CJ

I agree and disagree. When I last pushed the sports button I was doing 70 and within the blink of an eye I was up to 90 and almost pushed back into the seat. No way would it normally do that. I fully accept that the button does not affect performance overall but without doubt acceleration is improved.
