Rattling from Cats

So here is the situation. About a month ago, I started getting this loud rattling sound coming from what sounded like under the car.

Long story short, when I had it looked at, they told me a weld in the cats was causing it. I had them replaced ($$$$$$) and the sound stopped for about a week.

Shortly after, the sound has started up again. Its most prominent at idle, however is relatively random. It is incredibly loud from inside and out the car.

I am taking it in tomorrow to get looked at again, but I thought I'd get some outside advice.

Anybody have any idea as to what it might be?

Cats like it under the car, it's nice and warm and dry.

On a more practicle note.

What you were told makes sence to me, possibly the weld has snapped.

I've just had something similar with mine. Didn't happen all the time but when it did it sounded like a jack hammer near the back of the car, and that was when it was at idle. Turned out to be the exhaust bracket. Cost me £15 to get it repaired.
