Hi All,
I finally had a chance to investigate the squeak/rattle this weekend.
I found both bracket/latch thingies (part 28) that you removed one of Gannet, and could see wear marks where they had been rubbing against part 9. Unfortunately, I didn't have the right tool to remove part 28 so instead I wrapped some electrical tape around part 9 where the rub marks were visible.
I went for a quick drive to test along a suitably bumpy/pot-holed road and hurrah, not a sound, until just when I was pulling up back at thouse, I went over a drain and the sqeak sounded again
Next weekend I think I'm going to remove both of those latches (part 28) and see what difference that makes. It may well be the manual release latch that is rattling in my case.
Can you just confirm that facelift models have neither of the latches (part 28) Also any reason why you only removed one of the part 28 things and not both ?
Regards,
Chris.

. I have removed the catch's as above and tried wrapping gaffer tape round the lower catch where the wear has been and still getting the annoying squeek. I have tried using WD 40 and now the only way i can stop the squeeking is to not lower the roof properly and leave a 6 inch gap below the roof between the trim when roof is down. the only problem is the red flashing roof error light in the cab.
