Rattle sound

Hi,

I've got a problem with my z4 :( . When I' driving or revving between 1000 and 2000 RPM I hear a rattle sound under the car. the mechanics from the BMW dealer said that it is the catalyst and that it is totally normal
can someone give me advice how i can fix it myself? (I'm not very technical :oops: )

How can a rattle from the catalyst be normal - certainly wasn't designed to do that! Have you checked the rear springs?

The springs are OK the sound is not coming from the back aider. The right rear spring squeeks only a bit when it's cold outside

The sound is coming from under near the car in the middle so it can't be a problem under the hood, and the mechanics did check my engine when i bought the car about 2 months ago
