Rattle from wind deflector and interior trim

Having joined the forum 10 minutes ago, I thought I'd take advantage of all the knowledge on here to solve a couple of problems.

I have now tracked down and cured most of the rattles in my Z4 but there are 2 remaining - they are driving me mad(der). :x

The first is from the part of the wind deflector (the BMW honeycomb one) that fits inside the roll bars. Is it possible to remove and refit them in the hope that that will cure it or does anyone have another solution? I put a couple of drops of silicone on the edges to see if it would hold them still but it didn't work. I'm nervous of putting too much in case they need to be removed at some point.

The other rattle is coming from where the metal trim in front of the gear selector touches the plastic trim going up to the air con controls. If I press down on the metal trim it stops the rattle for a while but it always comes back. Any ideas?

Welcome to the forum.

You can search the sub-forum 'problems' to find similar issues.
On a quick search I did i found out this: http://www.z4-forum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1688
Read it to the end.
As I understood the most often way to solve rattles is by using felt.

Thank you for replying so quickly. I had already read that thread but I couldn't find any comments on the parts I mentioned. I will try to get hold of some felt as they suggest and give that a go.
