Raspberry PI 3 with Kodi installed

I have factory fit TV and Sat nav, I install a couple of years ago reversing camera and the lead I installed had extra RCA cables for AV on TV.
So I decided to install an old raspberry PI I had, which worked but slow, so ordered a new PI 3 and now much better.
I have connected it to my iPhone's hotspot and works fine, now skysports, btsport said and practically ever channel in my Z4 :thumbsup:

I'm just about to do the same in mine but with an Amazon Fire Tv/kodi

Going with the AFTv for its wifi remote, I'll be able to hide the box away in the back.
 
Installed a double usb plug in boot for power supply, couldn't find an ignition supply so fitted a temp switch by CD player in centre console so it wouldn't drain battery. Changed config.txt file on raspberriy PI to use composite output so I could connect into RCA lead. Have a mouse in centre arm rest so can control kodi. Connected raspberry PI to iPhone hotspot, job done.
I do have a hdmi lead to RCA and a firestick so might see if it works.
 
Love hearing about the expanding PI installs and how they are progressing.

Although I do prefer real-time monitoring to Live TV.

These cars are for driving not for watching TV.

Nice one, I bought a old analogue TV tuner early last year for the video input and the appropriate retro fit cable in June. I have 2 raspberry PI, one running the webserver in my sig and the other is connected to my home TV running Kodi. So it looks as though it's worth investing in the PI3 for this job. Just need to some good weather. :thumbsup:
 
Whats your sound quality like?

Just got mine all plumbed in, was hoping to use it for playing a music library but its pretty bad audio quality.

Not sure if its the hdmi-composite converter or the system itself.
