rarest colours

Not seen a single other red (scarlet) E89 on the road or on the forecourt.

Not sure if BMW do an special edition Orinoco Z4. IMO that's such a great colour.
I'm only like, what, 13 years late, but my 2004 E85 is that color. I think it's gorgeous, but of course I'm slightly biased :)

Well seeing you let the tension build for all those years :poke: surely we deserve a photo!
Looking on Google I can’t decide if it has a blue or Green base.

Personally I'm in the sea green club I think. She's not blue, not green, she's something in between!
Far as I know I'm the only Orinoco Metallic in the Netherlands. Car was custom ordered in 2004 by a dealer as a show car, and spent the first 3-4 years of it's life on a showroom floor before ever being registered for the road. By now it's got close to 178k KM on the clock.
Anyways, who cares about that, here's a photo to get you started, along with a link to a few more (bonus Z8 pic included, couldn't resist!).

Few things I still want to sort out:
  • Center caps for the wheels. Only recently found out they "should" be on there.
  • Black out the roll hoops, seeing as the rest is black as well (at least I think that would look better!)
  • And one of these days I want to find a set of MSport seats in the same color

Along with a few other minor mods (headlights, Bluetooth music interface, polyurethane bushings all round, custom built in USB C power), already completely redone the center console trim, it was a bit natty, so rewrapped it in mat black vinyl, looks *chef's kiss* now.

That’s nice. Like my Teifgruen it looks like it changes colour with the light. Some of those shots look like a nice dark metallic grey. Love it

Orinoco. Still stunning and one of my favourite BMW colours! Think thats why I also love Toledo.

I didn't know Orinoco existed until today, but I really like it.

Thanks!
And yeah, it changes. Blue/greyish to dark green to sea green. And very much depends on the light indeed!

It's a bit of a dangerous color sadly, as the 'modern day' Orinoco you can order today is a different color. Which makes me dread the day I might ever need bodywork done for whatever reason (fingers crossed I don't!) and the paintshop can't find the correct paint :(
Seems the color was developed specifically for the E38 and some Z3s from what I gather.

Here's a nice link I found with all available paint colors for Z4s by the way.

Your car is a great colour and I didn't know about it, either. I used to have Style 152s on my recently sold E86, complete with the centre caps. Lots of pics here: https://z4-forum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=1980197#p1980197

I genuinely think if I was ever going to respray a Z or any BMW, I’d go for 90’s Orinoco.

Really nice! After I posted that above, I found out my local BMW parts department can actually order a brand new set of centre caps for 'cheap': 20 Euros a piece, which I think is a decent price to get it from the source. Ordered on the spot, and hopefully they'll be here before the end of the month. Can't wait to get them fitted!

Gorgeous Z3! Looking at that pic seems I should really convince my dad to get his Z3M redone in that color. Not that the current color isn't nice, but Orinoco just hits differently.

What Z3M colour has he got? I used to own an S50 Z3M coupe in Imola.

I have eventually got confirmation from BMW that my UK White E85 3.0se is extremely rare. Its just 1 of 2 (another sold in 2005)...Even better, it only has 36,000 miles on the clock👍

Just did an overall update and it's now only 12 of the 51 UK White E85 models, across all 4 engine sizes, that are still registered....

Not sure if that would include the other white 3.0se so mine could now be of 1 of 1, rather than 1 of 2😯👍

What I think is the most boring or standard of colors, Titansilber. After looking at some pictures of more interesting Z3 colors, Oxford Green looks pretty. But a coupe in Imola, man, it almost makes me like the old clown shoe

Edit: this one by any chance?

Titan Silver I think shows the lines off well on a Z3M coupe.
Imola was cool though. Looked very different in different light but it always looked epic
Here’s a few shots of mine…
