Just seen this thread, but I have no sympathy for the lad.

He should've left enough space to brake. Simple as that.

No rant needed.

Nobody asked you for sympathy so you don't need to tell me you don't have any.

It's a forum in which i'm allowed to air my thoughts. My thoughts are as above.

You don't have to like or agree with them. Nobody expects you to.

I know that.

You can't have read the whole of the thread. The three people involved in the accident said it was pretty much unavoidable or were you actually there and saw different?

And to your little sarcastic added extra sentence on your post. I couldn't possibly say, I wasn't there.

It was unavoidable if the lad had taken a bit more extra care going round a blind bend. But hey, that comes with experience.

If the blind bend, brow of a hill and the entrance to the garden centre were all within a few metres or so, how did the other people manage to stop without hitting eachother?

An old guy drove into the back of my missus brand new fiesta last week, whilst she was stopped at a set of lights. I didn't blame him at the roadside as he was shaken up enough without me ranting and raving at him. Doesn't mean I don't blame him. I just felt a bit sorry for the old fella.

I spoke to the lady he hit many hours after the accident. She did not feel sorry for him in the slightest and did not blame him in the slightest either. It is what it is. An accident. They happen sometimes and nobody can completely shoulder the blame sometimes. As it is in this case.
You weren't there, neither was I so, at risk of repeating myself, I take the word of the three people who actually were, having spoken to two of them and heard the other one on the phone speaker.

You can't pass a judgement based on second hand stories. You can offer an opinion, which is perfectly fine. Yours is my 'lad' (who is a man btw not a newly passed his test youth) is at fault for the accident.
What I object to on this forum, and others, is how the opinions are put across.
You can say whatever you like but there is no need to say it in a thoughtless or unkind way.

It's always been the one thing that has caused more friction on forums and I have never been thoughtless in any opinion typed on a forum (apart from to one member who more than deserves it).

A lot of people on here think I am too opinionated because I stick up for myself and object to the way people think they can speak on the internet.

This has gone on long enough and I am going to ask for the thread to be locked. It's been a horrible weekend really and I can't be arsed with it any more.
