Can someone please explain to me how BMW managed to get away with such a s**t design for the window mechs on the roadsters. To have to replace one I thought ok unlucky but my drivers one has just made a large crunching sound and I can hear the motor happily spinning away doing absolutely F**k all.

BMW you seriously need to start compensating us poor owners who unbeknowingly are getting right royally shafted by your appalling design and you should be paying us to get it fixed.........yours one very very pissed off £200+ out of pocket customer :headbang: :headbang: :headbang: :headbang: :headbang: :headbang: :headbang: :headbang: :headbang: :headbang:
 
Gonna ask if it can be repaired rather than replaced by my new Indy. My old Indy replaced the whole thing but that's we're I had other issues as the way they put the doer seal back with some making tape was pitiful and the window has never quite been the same. After I complained they got me a new trim under the door grey soundproofing material plus the stuff they use to seal it but I just have not got round to replacing yet plus I need a bigger torc key to move the lock a bit to maybe get a better seal on the window t I suppose I may have two to adjust depending on the way this ends up after its repaired :headbang:
 
Repair kits ate probably good for diy bit if you're having for it the extra labour will probably make it the same price as a total swap out.

What are the chances of an indy doing this for two hours labour?

did mine in less than two hours as it's a straight forward job,
 
Indy said more of a faff to swap cables than the whole system so being done on Tues 1.5hrs labour plus Vat and part
