Random Orbit polisher recommendations??

My Porter Cable 7424 went missing when we moved :( I could get another one, but they are expensive, not really sold in the UK and only come in 120V.

Any recommendations???? Or is my best option to spend the big money to import a PC and use it with a transformer?
 
That is still my favourite, the UK supplied ones are 240V so easier, but the reliability of those does not match those of the PC.
 
Never complained about my pc. Top bit of kit. Expensive but it will last me out.

Im sure I've seen them in 240v these days?
 
I have a Meguiar's G220v2. Got it during winter so not used it yet, but from what I heard it works just fine and is pretty reliable
 
The G220v2 is expensive. Yikes.


Amazon.com will sell me a PC 7424XP for £108 including shipping and a £18 "fee deposit." The deposit probably covers only the shippers fee for doing the customs paperwork. -- I'll probably have to pay VAT on top of that. Not too terrible, but I paid around $100 for my old one. < sigh >




I'll put one on my wish list.

I've got one as well. Used a three or four times, really good piece of kit and is 240v which is very convenient. The Megs is about £150 or you can buy a package with pads and polishes as I did because I didn't have any previously.

There is a review of it over on Detailing World and BMWCCGB did a comparison with the PC as well a few issues ago (which it won by a small margin).

I got this kit (below) through recommendation looks well made, I'll tell you how good it is in the next few weekends when I finally get the weather to try it!
