Random gift

So the doorbell rang and I answered to a stranger asking if I owned the coupe in the driveway. He then offered me a car cover he had left over from when he owned one years ago. A welcome gift. :D

Beware the stranger bearing gifts.
Bet you look in horses mouths
:D True. I am not really sure what that saying means and I can't be bothered to Google it, but it could mean, that if you were gifted a horse don't look in it's mouth because it might not have any teeth and will soon die of starvation. You would then have to get rid of it. Do you think I am too cautious? :D

No, it means when someone buys a horse, they check its teeth to confirm its age and its health.
So, if someone gives you one as a gift, you would seem pretty rude to check it first.
