Rainbonnet

That is called a circumzenithal or Brevais' arc. And is formed by refraction through ice crystals in cirrus clouds.

There was no corresponding arc in the sky though...
 
Nope, I had finished and dried the car - I think Stuart has it right... The car has had about 6 coats of wax this year, and it's never been properly stripped right back I guess... Just glazed with black hole a coupe of times, and waxed pre-Braemar as said.
