Rain - what would you do

Go for a drive in the rain. If it's light enough you can drop the hood and drive in the rain without getting wet... Feels sensational :thumbsup:

this def works. I have been caught out a few times, even in a heavy down pour on the m1, i didnt get any water in the cabin.

Yes. October meet last year was light/medium rain. Didn't stop, kept pushing on and was dry and warm inside the car :)

You do have to be going a reasonable speed though, and if the rain goes monsoon you're buggered...

What do you forum members' who drive in the rain with the roof down' call a reasonable speed?

Yup, this speed. However the heavier the rain, the faster you have to drive... Which can very quickly turn out to be the wrong choice beyond a certain point, obviously :D

I have travelled at about 80mph in medium heavy rain and remsained dry, though the roll-hoops got spattered, and water from the wipers travelled along the top of the window and ran own the inside. 40 to 60 in light rain is about optimum otherwise you get drippage :thumbsup:

I guess if you rain-ex the windscreen it will all slide up and over rather than along the side window. Hmm. I can feel an experiment coming on :P

I know exactly the feeling - and always end up washing in the end lol so wash!!!

Have an old guy who goes past every weekend, says that, then walks off chuckling at his own joke... :roll:
 
Car still hasn't moved or been washed :lol:

Can't wait for the clocks to change. Can actually do things in the evening in daylight - like wash the car :)
