Rain Sensing Wipers

Looks the same as mine did air bubbles beween senor and glass, only had the car one week so returned it to BMW Stratstone and they put a new screen in because the sensor is part of it. Works fine now
 
Yeah, mine's a bit older and bought privately so need to do it myself unfortunately or pay a tame indie to do it......
 
Hi guys,

I'm a new z4 owner, and i'm also experiencing problems with my intermitent...in the fact it doesnt work...

I was looking through some of the previous owners serive/repairs invoice and noticed something printed out as part if the service that reads...
"REP Rain sensor detached from front screen"

Does this mean its the problems that have been discussed or have they removed it?

Mine are a bit odd too.

In the rain I can go a long time and they don't react to the wet at all... then all of a sudden they work perfectly, for the length of time I have ignition on... then if I turn off the ignition, it starts all over again!

Feels a bit like a software problem! My sensor seems to be attached ok.

Get a new screen on your insurance. £75, job done :thumbsup:
 
I had not thought of the new screen - it does have a few chips on it but nothing to worry the MoT yet, but guess that could happen anytime.
