Since there will now be a charge for parking at Newlands Corner I suggested we might want to try a different venue. Thanks to everyone who posted some feedback in that thread:- https://z4-forum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=14&t=107705

The general view is that we might want to try more than one option, so for this first one let's try the Black Swan, Old Lane, Ockham, Surrey. KT11 1NG. Phone: 01932 862364. (Old Lane is a turning off the Southbound A3 just after J10 of the M25).

But we need to bear in mind that this is a general car and bike meet they run on the 2nd Sunday each month (which just happens to fit with what we did) so it won't just be Z4s there. Which may not be a bad thing if we don't have too many!

They open at 08.30 for breakfast, bacon rolls, tea and coffee so any time after that will be fine (although I may stick to 09.00). :)

I know it's August, but hopefully a few of us will be able to make it. See you there!

As you know Mr Tidy I’m keen on Blackbushe, but it’s definitely worth sampling some others.

I will try to make it down when I can, apologies for not being in attendance of late.

It would be good to see you if you get an opportunity to pop along, but I realise you have other priorities right now.

It is my last Sunday before holidays but I will try to be there along with my "baby z", are we meeting for breakfast? how many of us?
 
I am about 80% certain that I will be there. We're out on the Saturday evening, but I am hoping that it won't be mega-late. Assuming that I'll be there, I'll be there at 09:00.

Well as RickRob is 80% it looks like 1.8 of us, or 2.8 if you make it. :)

To be fair most people have other things going on in August, which is why meeting somewhere that has a general motoring flavour seemed like a good idea.

Hopefully I'll see you there! :)
 
Well, I've not sold my Zed (I've taken it off of the market at the mo) so could be up for this new venue meet :thumbsup:

It's nearer for me than Newlands was so no excuse really.


I'll let you know if I can definitely make it nearer the time. Good stuff Iain for your efforts with all this :thumbsup:

One of the gents who at the last meet (Apologies I forget your name!) mentioned bringing your Carly, if you are able to bring it to this meet it would be greatly appreciated, there is a coffee and bacon roll in it or cash whichever you prefer! :poke:

I went to a mini meet today where one of the guys said there was a gathering at the Black Swan next Sunday unrelated to the z4-forum (possibly Mustangs). He suggested getting there at 8, so fingers crossed I hope to be there from then
 
Yes, it is a general car meet, but this month we'll just tag along and see what it's like!

Free bacon roll and coffee in exchange for fitting. new wiper blades??? Anyone? I changed them on my other car but these seem tricky.??
 
Sorry I’m not going to be able to make this month’s meet, due to a slipped disc making the thought of M sport suspension not too appealing at the moment!

I Hope to be back next month so looking forward to your report on this new location. I’ll have Carly with me then too!
