Looking at your avatar, that looks like a garage behind your zed. I know most tend to use their garages as a store but might be worth considering having a clear out and putting her to bed every night? We always garage the best of our two motors (or the one that fits - current Landie doesn't) so when my new motor arrives in March it'll be well tucked up. I live in a pretty good area but there is the very occasional keying which can happen anywhere these days. :x
Thanks - and yes, the garage clear out was already on my list, but is now at the top, just need to try and build some storage... TBH I was only going to do it to polish / clean the car out of the dark / rain / sun, but now I'm re-evaluating it's use. It's just a pain - Mrs Bing parks in the drive, so at 5.30am when I have to get up at that time for work I'll need to move (and maybe defrost first) her car, move it to the kerb, then get mine out... Blah blah - actually, writing it down sounds lame in comparison to protecting my P&J. Should've done it in October
I still don't understand it, and the badges have been on for ages without a problem - worry is when I replace them and the tw@ts walk past again and spot them... I have found a chap to get me replacements, says they are direct replacements for OEM, so have the long lugs on the bonnet badge that have screws on the back. Think I'll get them, and perhaps a wireless security cam whilst I am at it. A few cars have also had nails or screws stuck under the departing direction of the tyres, and my rear RFTs have one in each at roughly the same place on the tyres which is suspicious to say the least. And on normal tyres that goes WAY beyond vandalism :x

Bing , before we moved we had a similar situation with garage and drive. Of course the zed lived in the garage and the missus in front of garage so I could sleep safely knowing there was a garage door, locked, and also a locked car parked infront preventing any twat getting at the zed. Plus my (far far far) better half would move hers to allow me out in the morning then close the garage door for me as I left (usually with a towel wrapped round her head and her dressing gown still on!) I'm spoilt
But we have recently moved and the new garage is too small for the car. Egg on my face as a garage was obviously a requirement when buying the house. I measured it and checked against owners manual measurements, and knew it was gonna be tight, but would fit. Didn't factor in opening the door and getting out!
Now I fear for something like this or a keying happening to me too. It just takes one failed person to notice it and the damage is done.
State needs to take a tough line on the failed organisms in our society who contribute nothing, and only take, and cause misery. Would we not be better off if they ceased to exist?

Gutted for you mate, as others have said at least no damage, My car vandalised nearly 2 years ago now, both bonnet and boot had to be replaced £1500 all in, whilst I feel for you I also wish that was all the damage that had been done to mine.
Problem is we are now into 2nd and 3rd generation arseholes who have been brought up knowing there is little or no consequence to their actions, this started the day we joined Europe and allowed a bunch of lilly livered brussels based liberals tell us how to bring up our children.
Personally I think pondlife who do this sort of this thing should be publicly flogged and their families made to pay for the damage caused.

As much as Im really gutted to hear that someones car has been damaged and badges nicked the fact that no young people were seen doing it, or running from the crime its a a bit much that kids are being judged!
Ive had my last car keyed after 2 days brand new, and I wont lie I was fuming, it really makes you suspicious, also had a classic merc which had its hood ornament taken at least four times a year.
Hope all of our property stays damage or thief free but lets not judge our young people, could be a disgruntled neighbour, ex-girlfriend, prospective girl friend (or boy friend) employee, collegue the list goes on.........leave the kids alone..unless you see it then fair enough

The problem is like nosa says, we are into 2nd and 3rd generation. (they don't have to be young people). They have no pride or prized possessions. They don't understand value and personal worth because they have never experienced or been taught such things. You could go to their house and destroy anything and it matter to them little. They haven't worked hard/saved up to get anything. And they don't understand how to look after something, or take a pride in anything.
They are failed members of society. They do only harm. And due to the way the welfare state has burgeoned generations trapped in this existence have been created. As we've evolved from the jungle darwins selection pressures have changed. Benefit systems have become a selection pressure that natural selects and encourages the scrote population. We need to alter the selection pressures so that the naturally selected fittest and best adapted that 'survive' are not scrotes.

.... Man thats sucks Bing hope you get it sorted I "kinda" agree with most of the comments above, the country is weak and there is little respect to other people property. As the years go by am starting to say things like.. and am 28 not 78!

Unless there is a serious overhaul of the “benefits system” and cannot see little change sadly... not wanting to sound too right wing but me and a few friends were talking about this only last week. Are conclusions was.
(I must stress I think it’s essential for modern society to have a safety net and its fundamental to modern society so I do honestly believe there should be a benefit system to help people out as anyone could find themselves in the system through no fault of your own)
Our conclusions were:
(If on long term incapcity not appilcable)+ No longer should benefits be paid in cash , and instead a voucher based system is the way forward much like France. Therefore only essential daily requirements could be charged to the voucher/card system.
+ The voucher system could not be used to purchase luxuries these would be categorises as non-essential , eg. Fags, booze , porn , sky whatever only used for , Food utility, etc.
Therefore if you want above luxuries you will need to work, to get cash etc you get the picture.
- Now do not stress anyone about this as...... think if someone is getting working tax credit etc and many do to support family incomes, as you will be "working" people could still make these above purchases ... but the food shop and bills etc could be paid by the new vouchers therefore no change to lifestyle... you see it works if you work!
+ If you are able to work eg. not long term ill etc. Am aiming this and some guys I know who are in their mid 20's and cannot be bothered to work so they are making a "lifestyle choice" to live at home and pick up their benefits! - Will be forced if they want their benefits to do community service so this will be .....(so refuse no money)
- Clean walls, sweeping the local park , pick up rubbish ... jobs basically to make the community a better place , this would also be local to where they live eg there street would be good , ... this may create frustration if there peers decided to wreck the place... guess what their cleaning it up.
This would hopefully create work ethic and in turn respect for a job well done… and hopefully excel in new found areas with developed skills etc
Cannot remember the rest ... to many beers ... it will never happen but hayhoo … doubt any government would have the balls to do it… would they have my vote yes they would!
But we need to have a radical change to make a radical difference otherwise I guess it will never change
