Can dab be retro fitted into a 2009 35i with Idrive does anyone know ? Just been out and looked at the cd player front and it doesn't say Business or Professional

iDrive DAB was an option from 2010, so yes it can be. Could be a right pain to fit an OEM antenna, so I'd opt for an aftermarket one then it would just need coding to the car, everything else should be plug-n-play

That's both Satnav and DAB, but if there are photos of the back make sure that the mustard (DAB), green (DAB), black (Radio), off white (USB) and blue (GPS) connectors are all there

Here you go, the differences between the SatNav only and SatNav & DAB versions.
With the DAB, if you intended to take your car into Europe you could attach two DAB antennas (one for each Band 3 and Band L) for full coverage.
