Radio on, however no sound

Hi

I was driving along earlier and lost all sound from the radio, I could still however see the CD / radio working, just no sound. After stopping for fuel (engine off / on) the sound came back for an hour.

I’ve scanned the internet and this doesn’t seem uncommon but I can’t see any fix? Does anyhow have any ideas at all?

Do you have the basic system or a system with the amp in the boot

I think it’s a basic system, no amp (it’s fairly quiet at best)
